More YellowBelly News

It seems that the YellowBelly Brewery didn't actually open on June 27th as I reported after returning home from my trip to Newfoundland. In fact, the YellowBelly didn't open for business until last Friday, the 11th. Frank McDonald, a proud Newfoundlander and consumer of craft beer, informed me of this in an email Saturday afternoon after visiting St.John's newest watering hole. Here is his email.

The Yellowbelly Brewery finally opened. It opened to the public Friday, July 11. Almost two weeks later than was forecast.

I popped in for a quick beer yesterday afternoon (Saturday). The Irish Red is better than it was two weeks ago. Very good beer indeed. Best looking head on a beer I've ever seen, and the flavour really comes through when served at a better temperature than the very cold samples we had. The Yellowbelly was pretty busy and everyone seemed to be enjoying the beer. I'm going back again later this week on my days off, and bringing a couple of my friends.

Cheers
Frank
