Today was a miserable day here in Toronto and all I could think about was coming home, sitting in my chair and popping the top of a Propeller IPA.Now I know some people reading this might say to themselves, "thinking about beer all day long at work?" alcoholic! On the contrary....I just appreciate ending my work day with a top notch ale while engage in pleasant conversation with my fiance.
This particular Propeller IPA has sat in a cellar at my childhood home for the past six months, so I didn't know what to expect.
A strong hop presence still, bitter yet mellow, still delicious and quaffable. A great English style IPA. Although it has only been six months, it aged extremely well.
Sometimes in life, the Gods smile upon you, and tonight the beer gods were smiling down at me. A beer at the end of a long rainy day is just want the doctor ordered today!!

Last spring my cousin and I would look for the expired boxes of Propeller Bitter at the NLC, since discontinued by the Liquor Corp(idiots). We found that the older beers were smoother. Its not a beer that you would think would age well, the fresher the better seems to be the thing for an English type bitter. I have yet to have a bad Propeller beer.
Troy, I tried that Propeller Pils you gave me and loved it. It did have a bit of fruit to it that I wasn't expecting, but nothing over the top.
